2023 Reading

After a reading hiatus of few years, 2023 turned out to be a year of returning to it, and with some interest. Multiple factors contributed to this:

  • The ILSS Leadership Program, which brought forth a whole new kind of reading that I had never done before
  • Adding the Kindle App to the iPad
  • Installing Audible on Phone to utilize the office commute better

All this resulted in some excellent reading this year. And considering all this started around July / August, the list below is quite impressive and something to gloat about.

  • I have a dream – Rashmi Bansal
  • Radical Transformational Leadership – Monica Gupta
  • Leadership Lessons – Dr R Balasubramaniam
  • The revenge of The Gaia – James E Lovelock
  • Winners Take All (Audio) – Anand Giridhardas
  • In/Action: Rethinking the Path to Results – Jinny Uppal
  • Astitva (Marathi) – Sudha Murthy
  • Yayati (Marathi) – V S Khandekar
  • Suryasta (Marathi) – V S Khandekar
  • Atomic Habits (Audio) – James Clear
  • Siddhartha – Hermann Hesse
  • Mythos – Stephen Fry

As an orthodox reader, I never thought I would adapt to Kindle so easily and quickly. Persistence is the key to reading, so it was important to finish one book quickly. Yayati helped achieve that goal, though it was a re-read after several years. And then the rest followed flawlessly.

Hope this continues in 2024.
