‘Delivering change’ is an adage that drives the corporate world. And more than the money, it is usually the time that drives the change. In a competitive world, time is clearly of essence. Yet, the social sector looks at change from a totally different perspective. A change there could last generations and often without the plush resources of the corporate world.
This is just one example of how the two sectors are distinct. And so if one has spent years delivering changes in the corporate sector, one will find the social sector to be an antithesis. You need a structured programme to learn more, explore more and support a good social cause.
This is where ILSS – India Leaders for Social Sector comes into play. Conceptualized and activated by the reverential Anu Prasad, who herself transitioned from the corporate sector, ILSS offers a gateway into the social sector, plus a handholding to those who wish to embrace it fully or partly. The ILSS Leadership Program is a one of its kind, uniquely designed for those who are in the corporate sector, but wish to probe the social sector and sift through its layers.
A huge appreciation & gratitude for the entire team for the great learning experience – Archana Ramachandran, Hemant Kumar, Dr Shradha Roy, and all others who tirelessly worked for it. And finally, my wonderful cohort team-members, from whom I learnt some lessons that will last a lifetime – an admiration beyond words.
