Despite their bowling weakness at the start of the tournament, India played like champions throughout and defeated 3 past champions on their way to glory – Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Their bowlers came out well in the QF and the SF; and also hindered the Sri Lankans until the last few overs. And despite their vulnerability in the batting powerplay at the start of the tournament, their batting almost always delivered in style.
