Indian politicians are a shameless clan, is a well-known fact. Just to confirm how quickly you can turn into one of such cult clan-members, Sanjay Dutt, the new brazen star on the Indian political skies, claimed in a public rally that he was mercilessly beaten by the police while he was in Jail under TADA, only because him mother was a Muslim! The langoor forgot to mention that this Muslim mother of his was a member of parliament once, not elected but nominated to the upper house for her contribution to the society.

He also conveniently forgot to tell that his father was still an affluent politician with some weight then. And we all can guess what special treatment this guy must have received because of his dad’s influence. After all, Indian law is meant for the rich to mould it as per their whims. People with much lesser influence that Sunil Dutt have managed to get all the necessary luxury for their offspring in prison. It was only the media pressure and the fury of the people under the circumstances then, that he was arrested and charged under TADA. And he also forgot to mention that he went into the prison in the first place for illegally possessing an AK-56. This itself is heinous enough for him to spend half of the rest of his life in prison. Instead, he has been a free man again because of his father’s political influence and wit by ‘managing’ things well.

As a politician for the Samajwadi Party, he is in his rights to highlight any wrongdoings of the Congress party and ask the electorate not to vote for it. But to play a religion card is dirty and rotten. Hope someone flushes this filth from his gutless brain and he starts talking some sense. But with the company he keeps these days, chances are slim that this will happen.
